Lynn Dyer – Accounts and Tax Manager

We are delighted to announce that Lynn Dyer has been recognised in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) Top 100 Young CAs for 2020.  This list celebrates chartered accountants who have been nominated for demonstrating dedication and drive in their profession.
Lynn joined Thomson Cooper in 2018 and was quickly promoted to a specialist tax role which allowed her access to diverse tax challenges across a broad spectrum of businesses. Previously, her career path included undertaking CA exams whilst eight months pregnant after securing a training contract with a National firm following graduation, and again sitting CTA exams while pregnant a few years later. She continues to balance the demands of a young family with a full-time position, studying and the drive to develop her expertise.
Lynn was delighted with the news, “I am honoured to make the list and would like to congratulate all of the other CAs who were included too. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue a career I love and appreciate the support I’ve received both at work and at home.”
Thomson Cooper Managing Partner Alan Mitchell added, “This is a fantastic achievement for Lynn whose determination whilst juggling exams, motherhood and a demanding career is an inspiration to us all. She approaches life with optimism and enthusiasm, providing an exceptional service to clients, combined with an incredible capacity to encourage and support colleagues. We are proud of Lynn’s achievement to date and anticipate a bright future for this rising star.”
