Spring 2023 Budget Guide

On Wednesday 15th March 2023, Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt presented his first Budget to Parliament which has been called a ‘Budget for Growth’.

He set out a plan to reduce inflation, grow the economy and get government debt falling all whilst avoiding a recession and tackling labour shortages.

Particular focus was given to ‘back-to-work’ measures to encourage economically inactive people to re-join the workforce.
