Alan Mitchell

Alan is the firm’s Managing Partner. He oversees the strategic development and overall management of our Edinburgh and Dunfermline offices, as well as meeting the needs of his large portfolio of clients. Alan joined Thomson Cooper in 1988 and was promoted to Partner in 1994.

Thomson Cooper is Fife’s largest independent firm of accountants. We offer a wide range of business advisory services including outsourced services, wealth management and audit. Alan is one of the four Audit Partners within the firm, providing expertise and support to our growing audit department.

Alan is a specialist in construction, offering strategic planning for businesses in the industry and related service sectors.

He is also a tax planning strategist, providing wealth creation advice to clients looking towards retirement planning.

Alan also helps clients with their VAT planning and can assist with securing R&D funding.
